MAJOR GENERAL ERWIN VON LAHOUSEN (1897–1955)

A high-ranking Abwehr official during WWII, as well as a member of the German Resistance. As a key player in the failed July 20, 1944 plot to assassinate Hitler, he was one of the very few who escaped execution, surviving to testify against the ranking members of the Nazi Regime at the Nuremberg Trials.
